Mariazell – Gußwerk – Greith – Hochleiten – (possibly visit the Kläffer spring) – Wildalpen (visit water pipe museum – spring water for Vienna area). Route Mariazell – Wildalpen ca. 35 minutes. Retour via Lassing – Göstling (brine bath) – Zellerrain – Erlaufsee – Mariazell (ca. 1 ¼ hours).
Mariazell – Josefsberg – Reith – Erlaufboden - Trübenbach – Puchenstuben (Panoramic road from Trübenbach to Puchenstuben = 12 km, Mariazell to Puchenstuben ca. 45 minutes), retour via Wastl – Reith – Josefsberg – Mitterbach – Mariazell, Puchenstuben – Mariazell (again ca. 45 minutes).
Mariazell – Josefsberg – Reith - Wastl – Kreuztanne direction Frankenfels (ca. 40 minutes) – after ca. 2 km left Schlagerboden – crossing at the snack station right direction Burg Plankenstein and Mank (40 minutes) or straight to St. Anton an der Jeßnitz (20 minutes), retour to Mariazell (ca. 1 ¼ hours).
Mariazell – Kreuzberg – Halltal – Terz – Gscheid – Kernhof – St. Aegyd – Ochsattel- Kalte Kuchl (ca. 45 minutes) – Ramsau – Hainfeld (30 minutes) – Traisen – Freiland – Türnitz – Annaberg – Josefsberg – Mitterbach – Mariazell (ca. 1 ¼ hours).
Mariazell – Erlaufsee – Zellerrain – Grubberg (visit the brewery) – Gaming (40 minutes) - Visit the famous chartreuse – retour via Lunz (15 minutes) - Lunzer See – Zellerrain – Mariazell (30 minutes).
Mariazell – Gußwerk – Wegscheid – Brandhof (visit) – Seeberg – Seewiesen – Au – Turnau – Pogusch (Restaurant Steirereck) – 45 minutes. Continue to St. Marein direction Mürzzuschlag (30 minutes) and via Mürzsteg – Niederalpl – Aschbach – Wegscheid – Gußwerk – Mariazell or Mürzsteg – Lahnsattel – Terz – Halltal – Kreuzberg – Mariazell (ca. 45 minutes).
Mostviertel – panoramic road: Via Zellerrain to Gresten - From Gresten panoramic road to St. Leonhard am Walde – Sonntagberg (near Waidhofen/Ybbs - ca. 1 ½ hours). Retour via Wastl - Josefsberg - Mitterbach - Mariazell (again approx. 1 ½ hours).
Advantage for Oldtimer drivers: during the week much less traffic than on weekends.
